Mac

The native app uses Apple's body tracking for the most accurate controls. macOS 14 or later.

  1. Download MoveCam.dmg and drag MoveCam to Applications.
  2. The first time, right-click MoveCam → Open → Open. (On macOS 15: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.)
  3. Allow camera access when asked.

iPad

MoveCam runs as a full-screen app from your Home Screen — no App Store needed. iPadOS 16.4 or later.

  1. On your iPad, open movecam in Safari and tap Play now.
  2. Tap the Share button ⬆︎ then Add to Home Screen → Add.
  3. Open MoveCam from your Home Screen, tap Start and allow the camera.
  4. Stand the iPad up in landscape (a case stand works great) and step back.
